Accuride is an international manufacturer of steel and aluminium rims. The company specialises in particular in wheels for commercial vehicles, trailers, buses, as well as passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Accuride supplies vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators and the aftermarket.

An American company with a long history

The current Accuride Corporation was founded in 1986 in the USA, when Firestone’s steel wheel division was spun off. At the same time, the manufacturing heritage of Accuride’s European predecessor companies stretches back much further. These include, amongst others, the German brand Kronprinz, whose history began in 1897.

Accuride’s headquarters are located in Livonia, in the US state of Michigan. Production sites are located in the United States and Mexico, amongst other places. According to the company, it has more than 100 years’ experience in wheel manufacturing.

Accuride steel rims are designed for high load-bearing capacity and reliable use in commercial vehicle operations. Depending on the product, various sizes, bolt circles, offsets and coatings are available.

The forged Accu-Lite aluminium rims are designed to offer, amongst other things, a higher potential payload and improved heat dissipation thanks to their lower weight. Special solutions such as DupleX-One replace traditional twin wheels on certain commercial vehicles with a particularly wide single wheel.
