ATS rims

At the end of the 1960s, Günter Schmid founded the company Auto Technisches Spezialzubehör, or ATS, in Bad Dürkheim. As a pioneer in the production of aluminium wheels for the aftermarket, the company developed the first wheels in 1970 using the advanced low-pressure casting process that is used throughout the industry today. The ATS brand, which has been part of the North American company Superior Industries since 2018, has developed enormous expertise over the course of more than 50 years, which is primarily attributable to wheel development for motorsports. Since then, the brand has been closely associated with motorsport and can look back on many years of experience as a partner and supplier of well-known motorsport racing series such as the DTM, the FIA Formula 3 and the ADAC Formula 4. They even ran their own Formula 1 team between 1977 and 1984.

Based on this expertise, ATS today consistently develops the applications tested in motorsport further for the requirements of daily use in road traffic. Driving pleasure, aerodynamics, lightweight construction technologies and sophisticated designs are at the forefront for the brand.

World champion in weight optimisation

In the development and production of their high-tech bikes (Made-in-Germany), innovation plays a major role for the brand. ATS combines intricate appearance with extreme stability and is regarded as the "world champion of weight optimisation" in the production of aluminium wheels. True to the motto "Nothing beATS your Performance" , the manufacturer pursues its idea of performance and reflects the consistent progress of its work in its portfolio. The technological processes developed by ATS continue to set standards today, but the brand does not rest on its laurels. Instead, it sees technological progress as its own core competence, which can always be further developed by daring to do something new. Thus, in addition to the proven FlowForming technology, ATS has finally managed to introduce other processes for weight reduction. In the area of surface technology, modern coating and processing methods are used, such as UV-resistant coatings. ATS permanently incorporates this expert knowledge into all its products, using its know-how from many years in motorsport to constantly develop new rims for everyday use on the road. This means that customers also benefit in everyday life from the racetrack feeling and the performance produced by ATS.

Assortment

The diverse ATS programme offers the right solution for every need. For this purpose, the brand divides its products into the "Design-Line" and the "Performance-Line".

The "Design Line" mainly features the rims, which combine the high-quality standards of the company with modern wheel designs and attractive prices. These models are mostly intended for normal everyday use and are best suited to give the car that certain something extra. This line includes, for example, the five double spokes ATS Antares, the sporty ATS Mizar or the hard-wearing ATS Radial. But rims produced by technology tested in motorsport can also be found in the "Design-Line". A modern classic, the ATS Street Rally is an example of this.

Under the "Performance-Line" ATS unites its rims, which are fantastically lightweight thanks to FlowForming technology and without compromising on stability sporty and intricate. In addition to FlowForming, the rims under this line are also manufactured using forging technology. The most popular rim models from the "Performance Line" are the ATS Racelight and ATS Crosslight.

The portfolio includes models, most of which are available in sizes from 13 inches to 20 inches, as well as in colours Grey, Black, Silver and White.
