Erion wheels: modern steel wheels for new vehicle concepts

Erion is a young wheel brand that is further developing the classic steel wheel both technically and aesthetically. The focus is on weight-optimised, aerodynamically designed wheels for modern passenger cars. The brand is aimed in particular at drivers of electric and hybrid vehicles, but also offers solutions for selected models with internal combustion engines.

A characteristic feature of Erion wheels is the so-called Full-Face design. Unlike many conventional steel wheels, the functional construction is combined with a distinctive, closed design language. This allows the wheels to complement the modern design of today’s vehicles whilst offering the well-known advantages of a steel wheel.

Brand and Company

Erion is part of the ALCAR Group, an internationally active wheel manufacturer headquartered in Hirtenberg, Austria. ALCAR’s history dates back to 1984. What began as an Austrian holding company has developed into a group operating across Europe with its own production, development and sales structures.

Erion rims are manufactured in Switzerland. Their development focused primarily on resource efficiency, vehicle weight and aerodynamics. According to the brand, the manufacturing process generates significantly less CO₂ than that of aluminium wheels. The design is also intended to meet the requirements of electric vehicles, where range, aerodynamic drag and high vehicle weights play a particularly important role.
