Motor oil with viscosity 0W-40
Engine oil with a viscosity of 0W-40 is a high-performance oil specially developed to provide optimum protection and performance in a wide range of temperatures. The viscosity of an engine oil is an important factor that determines the fluidity of the oil at different temperatures. The first number, in this case ‘0W’, stands for the fluidity of the oil at cold temperatures (‘W’ stands for ‘winter’). A lower number such as 0W means that the oil is very fluid and circulates quickly through the engine even in extremely cold conditions. This ensures immediate protection of moving parts and reduces wear during cold starts.
The second number, ‘40’, indicates the viscosity of the oil at operating temperature. A higher value such as 40 indicates that the oil remains thicker at high temperatures, which provides greater protection for the engine, especially under extreme conditions such as high speeds or heavy loads.
0W-40 engine oil is widely used in high performance vehicles, including sports cars and SUVs, operating in a variety of climates. It offers the advantage of providing excellent protection at both very low and very high temperatures. Manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche often recommend 0W-40 for their vehicles as it offers an excellent balance between cold start properties and protection at high temperatures. This oil is ideal for drivers who want maximum performance and protection for their engine in all conditions.
