AUTEC GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1988 as a subsidiary of Südrad Autoräder GmbH, with its headquarters in Eberbach/Fils. Over the course of its 30-year history, the company, which is now based in Schifferstadt, has established itself as a trademark of high-quality, visually appealing alloy wheels, on account of its consistent product development. The alloy rims from Autex are characterised by their innovative design, high quality, cutting edge production technologies, a sophisticated quality control system, and an attractive price/performance ratio. Autex is now one of the leading companies in the aluminium rim and complete wheel retrofitting market.

High quality and individuality

For Autexc, the quality of its rims is of the utmost priority. The entire development and production process, from the initial sketches to series production, is characterised by the greatest possible care and particular attention to detail. The quality is already apparent during the development of the alloy rims. Here, the most cutting edge CAD (computer-aided design) programmes are used within the internal Design and Technology department. The rim designs undergo a technical evaluation during the development process, meaning that a weight and strength optimisation can take place ahead of production, by means of an FEM analysis (Finite Element Method). Short development times can thus be guaranteed. The high quality requirements are also evident during the ongoing process. Autec manufactures its rims in the most modern production facilities, and according to the latest technological standards. Extensive and continuous quality controls are performed during each production step. The alloy rims are manufactured using the low pressure die casting or gravity casting procedures, thus undergoing a 100% X-ray inspection and heat treatment, before being subjectged to a full leak test. After the powder primer, paint, and clear varnish have been applied in the fully automated paint shop, a final quality inspection is performed. In order to meet its high quality requirements, Autec also conducts another, final quality check upon the receipt of the goods into the dispatch warehouse, using modern measurement and test equipment.

The product range includes a wide selection: from timelessly elegant to sporty and aggressive, in colours such as the classic brilliant silver, front-polished black, flashy orange or matteanthracite. Here all the standard sizes from 14 - 22 inches are offered, for almost all hole sizes and offsets. However, you will also find niche applications e.g. wheels especially for SUVs, MPVs, lightweight trucks, vans or motorhomes in the Autec product range. In its four product lines, Trend, Heavy-Duty, Club and AllSeason, Autec offers rims to suit everyone.

Thanks to their highly contoured spokes, the most popular models within the AllSeason line include, among others, the stylish "Mugano", the elegant 6-spoke "Polaric" and the impressively sporty "Zenit". The "Xenos", a very powerful model with huge spokes, which extend to the edge of the rim in a Y-shape, is part of the Heavy Duty line, and likewise enjoys great popularity among car enthusiasts.
